Joe Manganiello Vacations in Greece and Italy

Joe Manganiello told E!Online that he is going on vacation, during the True Blood hiatus. Joe says, “I’m going to eat myself through Greece and Italy. I’ve never been to Europe so I’m going to eat and have fun.” Have no fear, Alcide fans, Joe plans on keeping up with his workouts to maintain that beautiful bod. “I’ll workout a bit because I like to—just not as hard as I do normally,” he said.

I wonder if he’ll meet up with Theo Alexander in Greece. He would be Theo’s momma’s ultimate dream guest. Think of all the food she could cook for him!

And oh, the food in Italy! A couple recommendations for you, Joe; find a place that has arancine, fried (or, less commonly, baked) rice balls coated with breadcrumbs, usually filled with ragù (meat sauce), tomato sauce, mozzarella, and/or peas. They originated in Sicily, but sometimes you can find them in parts of Italy. Don’t pass up the gelato. And if you will travel through Torino, do not leave there without having tried a bicerin (layers of chocolate, espresso and cream). Finally, when in Rome, visit Alfredo’s.

Joe goes back to work on True Blood some time in November.
