SPOILERS: Sam Trammell Teases True Blood Season 4

True Blood is about to go into production on season 4, and Sam Trammell is whetting our appetites with a few teases. He’s read the first few scripts for the season and says we’ll get our first “holy crap!” moment immediately in the season premiere. Also happening immediately? More Sam nudity. It doesn’t sound like it’s of the amorous variety, though.

“There are gonna be some really cool shapeshifter-y things happening,” he says. “There might be a shapeshifter community that we meet. And I can’t say what it is, but there’s something that happened that sort of changes everything, something at the beginning changes everything in town. So it’s going to be cool, because you have the same characters and the same deal, but there’s going to be something that makes it all fresh.”

Sam also revealed he’s already had a script read-through with “a major new character”. Sounds like Sam meets up with Suzanne McKittrick and her friends right away in the True Blood season premiere. If Suzanne, described as a “Real Housewives type” is a major new character, what does that tell us about Sam’s storyline? Is she another manipulative Maryann type? Or could she provide him with some insight into his shapeshifter nature?
