Cover Art for Sookie Novel #11, Dead Reckoning

Charlaine Harris just released the cover art for the next Sookie novel, Dead Reckoning, due out in May 2011. It’s another painting by artist Lisa Desimini and features Sookie hanging upside down while flaming pieces of paper fall around her. This is the first of the Sookie novels to not include a vampire on the cover (the anthologies don’t either), so we have to wonder about the significance of that. And what is written on those pieces of paper that are on fire?
