‘Guard and Goddess’ is the prequel to “The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Miss Percy Parker”. Leanna will take us back in time when this entire story begins. From the time The Guard was formed up to Alexi’s ascent as leader, and his first meeting with the Goddess. Familiar characters will be there, and maybe a few new ones as well. We’ll find out in May!

I had the pleasure of meeting Leanna just before the holidays, for a three hour lunch. 🙂  After braving a nasty winter storm, we arrived at the restaurant more than ready for some hot minestrone soup and  the warmth that comes from discovering a new friend. We talked about ‘Guard and Goddess’ as well as the other two books in the series, a look ahead at the Rychman’s and a new story she is writing that I cannot wait for. It involves a girl, a guy and a painting. More I will not say, not even if you bribed me (which Truebies have proven to be quite persuasive at). We also talked about the musical adaptation of “Miss Percy Parker”, which Leanna is feverishly working the scripts for.

If you are interested in reading Miss Percy 1 and 2, and you’re having a difficult time finding either one, you can order them directly from Dorchester Publishing. I encourage you to do so, there is still time to get through these books by the time “The Perilous Prophecy of Guard and Goddess” is released. However, the beauty of a prequel is that you needn’t read books 1 and 2 before it. I guarantee that you will want to devour them afterward though. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
