True Blood Fashion Q&A: Accessories Galore!
True Blood season 3 ended months ago, but questions about the fashion are continuing to arrive in my inbox. Costume designer Audrey Fisher is hard at work on True Blood season 4, but she did take some time to answer your questions about what it is and where to find it. Unfortunately, considering it’s been 8-12 months since she sourced the pieces for production, many items are no longer available. We’ll try to find something similar for you if we can. This week we’re focusing on accessories worn by our heroes and heroines.
Q. I was wondering what/who the gold bracelet that Sookie/Anna Paquin wears in the season finale in season 2, the last scene when she has been proposed to and is in the bathroom, you can see the gold bracelet. There is also a shot of it as she is opening the engagement ring box at dinner. Thanks very much, really hope you can get back to me about it. – Tessa
A. The source of this bracelet is so very Sookie, I had to chuckle: Audrey picked it up at JC Penney! It was three-toned with black hills gold, and unfortunately doesn’t appear to be available any longer. If you know someone who makes jewelry, perhaps they could recreate it for you.
Q. I was also in love with Pam’s red outfit. You mentioned the dress, but what about the red jewels? Where can I get those? – Mari
A. Audrey tells us that Pam’s jewels are from an amazing designer named Marianna. She doesn’t have a website but Los Angeles-area fans can find her through Yelp.
Q. What type of belt buckle does Sam wear? Thanks. – Eli
A. Sam’s belt buckle is from a local cowboy store, Country General in Van Nuys. To personalize the accessory, the they had it engraved with “Merlotte”.
