RATINGS: True Blood 4.02 Falls Due to Holiday, Early Online Release

The cable ratings for Sunday night are in, and True Blood episode 4.02 lost almost half its viewership from the season premiere. It still managed to win the night, though, with approximately 2.9 million viewers tuning in for the first broadcast and a 1.5 in the 18-49 demo (which is irrelevant to non-ad-supported HBO).
Why aren’t we worried? Because it was a holiday weekend when viewership tends to drop and because the episode had already been available on HBO GO for a week. The ratings should rebound, in a big way, for episode 4.03, “If You Love Me, Why Am I Dyin’?”, airing Sunday, June 10 at 9/8c on HBO.
