Joe Manganiello is ‘Expecting’

EW just broke the news that Joe Manganiello has joined the ensemble cast of “What To Expect When You’re Expecting”. Joe will play Davis, who is described as a ladies man ” whose jet-setting lifestyle as a photographer of international surfing competitions is the envy of a father support group that includes Chris Rock and Rob Huebel.”

“Expecting” is based on the popular instructional guide book of the same name, written by Heidi Murkoff, for pregnant women (and soon-to-be-dads). It should be given out at OB Gyn’s offices like lollipops for kids at the pediatrician’s. If the film has even a smidge of the wit contained in the book, it should be loads of fun. Add the hilarity of Chris Rock and the hotness factor in Joe and you’ve got the makings of a hit. And we know that Joe can bring the funny.

Also on the cast list are  Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Brooklyn Decker, Anna Kendrick, Chace Crawford and Rebel Wilson . Directing is Kirk Jones (Nanny McPhee).

Filming is ‘expected’ to begin this month for a May, 2012 release.
