True Blood Fashion Q&A: Sookie’s Hoodie, Pam’s Red Dress, Luna’s Seductive Dress
True Blood costume designer Audrey Fisher answers another burning fashion question for you this week, plus a thank you and sources for a couple other items.
Q. In episode 4 of season 4 Sookie wears a gorgeous green with white polka dots short sleeved hoodie, in the scene where Bill tries to inspect her home looking for Eric – I’d really love to know where this top’s from, its too cute. – Natalie
A. Natalie, you weren’t the only one looking for this item! We’ve been deluged with emails looking for it since that episode aired. Now that Audrey is back from her well-deserved vacation, she tells us that she found this adorable cropped hoodie at a vintage shop. It’s Roxy brand if you want to go looking at your local secondhand store. (I could swear I saw one at the Plato’s Closet in the big university town nearby last spring. If only I’d known!)
Q. Who is the designer of Pam’s red dress in episode 4 of season 4. It is stunning! – Evett
A. Pam has the best clothes! Until she turned into a beekeeper, that is. The asymmetrical red dress she wears when she finds out that Sookie is hiding Eric is the Brian Lichtenberg red glitter dress that was part of our True Blood Season 4 Fashion Preview. Seventy-five percent of you correctly guessed that Pam would be wearing it this season.
Q. I LOVED the dress Janina Gavankar wore in episode 2…where can I find it?? Thank you – DeEtta
A. Audrey says this is “a total Missoni knock-off” that she found at Free People. It’s out of stock now, but Free People makes a lot of items in that sort of ’70s, boho style so keep an eye out for their Fall collection. A similar dress may show up there.
Q. Thanks for telling us about Marianna Harutunian and her fabulous jewelry. I bought a necklace from her Etsy site and it’s even more gorgeous in real life than it was in the picture online. If it hadn’t been for you, I would never have found her and her jewelry, so hugs to you! Appreciate the extra info you bring the fans! You rock! – Dory
A. OK, that wasn’t really a question, but we were delighted that Dory wrote in to tell us about her jewelry purchase and we just had to share. 🙂
That’s a wrap for this week. Do you have a burning True Blood fashion question? Drop us a line or comment below and we’ll do our best to get the answer for you!
