Stephen Moyer Takes On New Monster

Stephen Moyer will be keeping busy once again before heading into filming for True Blood‘s fifth season. Variety reports that he has just signed on for the lead in “The Barrens”. This is a film based on a legend about the “Jersey Devil“, supposedly a winged creature that  “looks like a deformed hybrid of several different animals.” It sounds like they’ve ripped a page from “Supernatural“. According to Variety: “Moyer will play a man who takes his family on a camping trip to the more than 1 million acres of dense forest known as the New Jersey Pine Barrens, where he becomes convinced they’re being stalked by the legendary monster.”

“The Barrens” is written, directed and produced byDarren Lynn Bousman of the “Saw” films.
