True Blood Fashion: Sookie’s Floral Top, Eric’s Jacket, Arlene’s Hair

We have another round up of True Blood fashion questions from you, answered by costume designer Audrey Fisher! This week we have a much-wanted knit shirt, the perfect jacket for revenge, and blazing red hair. (Note: we’re working on Jessica’s Halloween costume, don’t worry!)

Q. I absolutely love Sookie’s outfit toward the end of finale; brown leather jacket, shirt and jeans; do you know any info about it? I appreciate any feedback and your time in this.  Thanks! – Melissa

A. We covered Sookie’s leather jacket in last week’s column, but we’ve got the scoop on her pretty floral top that so many of you inquired about. It’s the “Tootie” by Alternative Apparel, and Audrey says she bought “literally 24 of them” to withstand the rigors of the finale!

Q. Hi there, I was wondering if you know where I could get a jacket like the one Eric wears in episode 11 of the current season. I can’t find anything similar anywhere. I don’t know a lot about fashion, so I have no idea what the material is or anything. Thanks. – Billy

A. You’ve come to the right place, Billy. Audrey put Eric in a black canvas jacket by G-Star Raw to take down Marnie & Co. in True Blood episode 4.11. That exact style is out of stock now, but try the Correct Line City Jacket by G-Star Raw  for a similar look. Fun fact: nerd-turned-spy Chuck Bartowski is also a fan of G-Star Raw.

Q.  Just wondering if you know if Arlene’s hair THIS season is, in fact, a wig. If not, what color do they use on her? I’m dying to get that red! – Jennifer

A. That is Carrie Preston’s real hair! Try something like Nutrisse Ultra-Color in Light Tint Auburn or L’Oreal Preference Intense Red Copper for a similar look.
