HBO and HSN Launch True Blood Themed Beauty Line with Kristin Bauer

Our roving correspondent, Andrea Towers, attended the launch party for the new True Blood inspired beauty line, available August 9 on HSN. Here’s her report from that night.

Dim lighting, some scattered rose petals and red and black colors set the stage at the beautiful Aire Ancient Baths, where HSN and HBO teamed up for a launch party to celebrate the release of their new make-up line, Forsaken. Inspired by the hit HBO series True Blood, Forsaken exudes both mystery and beauty with its deep red and purple colors and floral fragrances.

Guests sipped on vampire themed cocktails (such as “Drain You” and “Sookie’s Beetini”) while browsing some of the new products set up for display, but it was downstairs in the “spa” area of the venue that the party really got going. Weaving in and out of the small pools, there were clusters of posed models just waiting for that right “bite” as well as a nail station where you could sample the new products by literally wearing them home. Being primped and pampered while sipping cocktails in a spa-like environment? Though “the weather outside was frightful,” it was certainly a relaxing way to spend an evening.

Of course, no unveiling would be complete without a vampire on hand to do the honors. Naturally, the beautiful Kristin Bauer van Staten was present to show off the new Forsaken line and graciously took the time to pose for pictures and speak about her excitement about the event.
