Alfre Woodard joins cast of Copper

Alfre Woodard (aka Ruby Jean Reynolds) has just signed up to join the cast of BBC America’s Copper during its second season. For those who are unfamiliar with the show, Copper is a period drama set in the 1860s in New York City. Alfre will play the role of Hattie Lemaster, a former slave looking for a new life in the big city.
The second season of Copper will premiere on BBC America on Sunday 23rd June at 10pm ET.
