THROWBACK THURSDAY: LET’S MEET THE SUN

Happy New Year! Can you believe it is 2014? With it being the beginning of the new year, I thought about letting go of the past and starting new. In this Throwback Thursday post I chose to remember Godric’s beautiful yet heartbreaking scene from season 2 when he decided to meet the sun. After 2000 years he was ready to let the past go. Eric didn’t want to accept Godric’s decision and seeing him cry was sad enough, but when Godric and Sookie were alone on the roof and Godric said, “A human with me at the end, and human tears… 2000 years and I can still be surprised. In this I see God,” it was absolutely beautiful. Then he took off his shirt and met the sun. Wow! I get chills everytime I remember it. It was so powerful and this moment stands out as one of the best scenes in True Blood period. So Cheers to closing the door to the past and starting fresh Truebies!
