Mehcad Brooks Cast in ‘Supergirl’

True Blood alum Mehcad Brooks (aka Eggs) is about to get super! Deadline reports that Brooks will co-star opposite Melissa Benoist in CBS’ pilot Supergirl as James Olsen.

Based on the characters from DC Comics, the project follows Kara Zor-El (Benoist) who is embracing her superhuman abilities. Brooks a photographer at CatCo, the media company where Kara works. He recently moved to National City, although the reason he’s there is still a secret.
