CASTING NEWS: Brendan McCarthy Cast as Nate

Warning: True Blood Season 4 Spoilers Ahead!

Actor Brendan McCarthy has landed the recurring role of Nate for True Blood season 4, according to IMDb. Nate first appears in episode 4.07, “Cold Grey Light of Dawn”. According to the casting call, Nate is is one of a pair of werewolves who want to be Alpha Males, leading us to speculate that he will challenge Raoul for the role at some point this season and likely encounter a reluctant Alcide as well. Nate is currently listed as appearing in episodes 4.07-4.12, the final five episodes of the season. Will he make it to season 5?

Brendan McCarthy is probably best known for his role in the horror film 2001 Maniacs, although he also guest starred in the pilot episode of one of my favorite new summer series, Rizzoli & Isles, last year.
