Charlaine Harris’s “Harper Connelly” Series a “No-Go”

Charlaine Harris just updated her Facebook page and there is some good news and some bad news. The bad news first. Last April we reported that Syfy had picked up the series based on Charlaine’s Harper Connelly series, after CBS opted out. Today Charlaine announced that the series is now dead.

On the plus side, the editorial changes for DEAD EVER AFTER are completed, and the book is over ten pages longer. It’s back on my editor’s desk. On the minus side, I can now tell you that the Syfy deal for the Harper books is a no-go. Back again to the (hopefully) plus side, today Toni and I find out how AN APPLE FOR THE CREATURE is selling.

This is really sad news for us because Mel and I have read the 4-book series and we were looking forward to seeing the characters come to life on TV.

However, Dead Ever After, ten pages longer? Yes, please!
