Bill’s Daddy Issues: Can he keep Jessica under control?

Tonight on True Blood Sookie, Bill and Jessica finally descended on Dallas to help search for Godric, and Bill decided now was the time to take Sookie’s advice and give Jessica some pointers on using her new vampire skills. Unfortunately, Bill forgot the cardinal rule of parenthood: follow through! Leaving Jessica alone with Leon and her newfound glamour powers gave us one of the funniest moments of the night.

That wasn’t the only hilarity, though. Lafayette is back! After an infusion of Eric’s blood, our favorite makeup-wearing short-order cook was back to his old self. How Skarsgard managed to get through that scene with a straight face, I’ll never know.

So much happened in this episode that we expect we’ll have to watch it at least three times to pick up on everything. Did you gasp when Maryann started to morph into The Creature? Do you think Sam can trust Daphne? How about Jessica ordering some room service and Sookie discovering another telepath? Did Eric interrupting Bill & Sookie frustrate you like it did Sookie, or were you gleeful about seeing the two of them in a scene together like we were? And while some find the Jason/FOTS storyline boring, we’re intrigued by his quick rise to the top of the food chain and what’s going on between him and Sarah Newlin. Also, does Steven Newlin creep anyone else out with his incessently chipper “kill the vampires” rhetoric?
