Ryan Kwanten Discusses ‘Manson’ Role

With production for The Family due to begin in 2011, Ryan Kwanten talks more about choosing to play the psychotic mass-murderer, Charles Manson. “It’s going to be quite a challenge,” he said. “[Manson] is undoubtedly a huge iconic figure and not necessarily for the best of deeds.”

This is quite a departure from previous roles for the True Blood actor, and one wonders how this soft-spoken, gentle man will be able to play someone so dark and twisted. “It’s going to be tapping into sort of dark sides of myself and obviously trying to find out as much as you can and then using what’s going to be beneficial in making the film.”
