Being an in-demand telepath, vampire’s girlfriend, waitress, friend, sister, and cousin can be exhausting. On those rare occasions when she has a free afternoon to enjoy the Louisiana sun, Sookie can be found enjoying this icy beverage while working on her tan.
Another Louisiana concoction, Milk Punch allegedly originated in New Orleans where everything is made better with a dollop of alcohol. Perfect for steamy summer days, it’s also a popular Christmas treat in the South.
Ingredients:
3 cups good quality vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup bourbon
1 tablespoon vanilla
freshly grated nutmeg
Directions:
1. In a blender, combine ice cream, bourbon, and vanilla; blend until smooth.
2. Pour the milk punch into glasses and sprinkle each serving with nutmeg.
Serves 4.
