Meanwhile, Sookie and Jason steel themselves for an encounter with the killer of their parents: the mysterious and ancient Warlow, whose identity remains a troubling mystery as the season unfolds.

    I would think most of us have already seen season 6 on HBO. So we already know that it was great. That's why we buy the dvd because we want to have it forever. I pay for the three months of HBO so I can watch it and then cancel. For those who have not already seen season 6, I assume you have seen the rest of the series and already know what it is about and own the other seasons. So this is a must have to continue your collection. Season 6 was great except that we got short changed on the amount of episodes.There is only one season left ( Boo Hoo ) I hope we get a full season.

    Nachdem die dritte Staffel mir die Serie fast völlig vergällt hat, war ich lange Zeit ohne True Blood. Ich konnte mich nicht recht zum Kauf der weiteren Staffeln entscheiden, hatte ich doch Angst, dass es so fürchterlich weitergeht wie in der dritten Staffel. Irgendwann habe ich mich doch durchgerungen, mit die vierte Staffel anzuschaffen - der Rest folgte noch am selben Tag in den Einkaufswagen und ich habe mir Staffel 4-6 innerhalb von zwei Wochenenden durchgehauen.

    Die sechste Staffel, um die es ja jetzt geht, beginnt direkt im größten Getümmel. Neue Figuren kommen Knall auf Fall, unglaublich interessante Figuren. Nach Bills phänomenalem Abgang und Wiederauferstehung in der vorherigen Staffel setzt die 6. Staffel direkt hier an: wer oder was ist Billith? Und warum kam sie jetzt, genau zu diesem Zeitpunkt, auf die Idee, ihr Blut dem "Auserwählten" zu servieren?
    Die Staffel steht unter dem Motto "No one lives for ever" also "niemand lebt ewig". Vielversprechend für den Start einer neuen Staffel.
    Denn die Menschen haben sich endgültig gegen die Vampire verschworen und rüsten auf, um den Blutsaugern den Hahn abzudrehen. Der neue Senator Truman Burrell von Loisianna setzt die Gesetze besonders hart durch und geht mit allen Mitteln gegen die Vampire durch. An seiner Seite steht die ewige Plage und von mir wohl nach King Joffrey meistgehasste Nervensäge im Fernsehen, Sarah Newlin. Die beiden haben gemeinsam eine neue Art von Virus entwickelt, die Vampire innerhalb kurzer Zeit tötet und/oder wahnsinnig werden lässt.
    Mit Warlow tritt nochmals eine neue, alte Art auf. Faszinierend dargestellt klärt die Figur des Warlow Sookies Vergangenheit endlich nahezu lückenlos auf. Dieser Handlungsstrang hat mir besonders gut gefallen.
    Terry und Arleene sind wieder mit von der Partie, auch hier wird endlich einiges geklärt, was Terrys Vergangenheit angeht.
    Auch alle anderen alten Bekannten, Eric, Sam, Alcide, mischen natürlich wieder mit.

    Die sechste Staffel ist in meinen Augen eine der besten, wenn nicht die beste, Staffel der ganzen Serie. Die Story rund um Billith ist einfach nur super spannend und super umgesetzt. Glaubwürdig, logisch, mystisch, fantastisch!
    Die Staffel ist wieder wild, sexy, spannend und blutrünstig. Genauso, wie man True Blood kennt.

    Ich bin sowas von gespannt auf die siebte und leider letzte Staffel. Aber man soll ja bekanntlich aufhören, wenn es am Schönsten ist. Und für mich war die sechste Staffel das "Schönste". Absolute Kaufempfehlung, ja schon Kaufzwang (;-)) von meiner Seite für die komplette Serie und hier nochmal gefühlte 10 Sterne für die 6. Staffel.
    Auch im Lager der Werwölfe spitzt die Lage sich dramatisch zu.
