It’s time for another True Blood news round up! Check out the latest tidbits below:

  • Jim Parrack has signed on to Battle: Los Angeles, about a Marine platoon facing off against an alien invasion in Los Angeles. Ironically, it’s filming in Louisiana! Look for the movie to come out in early 2011.
  • Deborah Ann Woll shared some hair secrets – she dyes her own locks?!?! – with Elle Magazine.
  • Another week, another ratings record! True Blood‘s initial airing on Sunday was watched by 4.46 million people, up slightly from last week’s record of 4.4 million. Counting DVR and repeat airings, each episode is watched by approximately 11.4 million people.
  • The True Blood season 1 score is coming to CD! Pre-order the score now and get it when it drops on September 8. Tracks include Nathan Barr’s iconic music for several of the characters, plus “Take Me Home” (playing while Sookie eats Gran’s last pie) and “Sancto Erico” (Eric listens to this in Bill’s bathtub).  Be sure to come back on Monday for True-Blood.net’s exclusive feature on the making of the “Take Me Home” music video!
