Friday Five: Favorite Quotes from Season 2

As a tribute to the writing staff, today’s Friday Five offers up my favorite quotes from last season.

  1. Eric: “They’re like humans but miniature. Teacup humans!” Probably the most remembered and often quoted, this one had Truebies talking for months. It’s been the focus of wallpaper graphics and t-shirts, avatars and signatures. I wonder if the writers knew what a hit it would be when they penned it.
  2. Sam to Sookie: “I’m tired of charring my ass on your back burner.” How many times have we all wished we had that one in our vocal bag-o-goods?
  3. Eric to Sookie, after she tells him he disgusts her: “Perhaps I’ll grow on you.” She replies, “I prefer cancer.” Ouch!
  4. Lafayette: “Jesus and I agreed to see other people. That don’t mean we don’t still talk from time to time.” I just thought that was so clever and I loved it.
  5. Jason: “It’s like, if a tree falls in the woods, it’s still a tree, ain’t it?” FTW!

I just can’t wait to see how this awesome crew top themselves in season 3. A round of applause for the True Blood writing staff!

Over-night fan (almost literally) of the Sookie Stackhouse series since early 2008. Co-owner of True-Blood.net. Anxiously anticipating season 6.
