Rumor has it that True Blood season 3 will debut in Australia on Foxtel beginning August 19. We haven’t been able to confirm that with Foxtel yet, so Aussie fans, keep your eyes open and send us the link to verify!
Season 2 is currently airing on Foxtel.

ok I have been doing a little digging and…. season 2 ep 11/12 finish this week, on the showcase web site it appears that season 2 will be replayed again (just in case you missed it or dont have your DVD yet) again. eps 5 are looking to be airing around 31/07 which means that they are going to run season 2 right up until we get season 3 which by the previous posts I think will be around the 19th August or something like that.
Lets all keep an eye on the web site thou because I am sure they will load it all up when they get the go ahead.

Confirmation just arrived via the Austar mag, Trueblood Season 3 to premier August 19th of showcase at 8:30pm
Thanks to everyone for posting the good news! I had been looking all over for some kind of info regarding the Australian premiere, but couldn’t find anything. While it is disappointing that we’ll have to wait another (!) couple of months, at least all Aussie fans have a date to look forward to:)

It sucks that they’re replaying season 2 for the 100th time on foxtel when we could’ve had season 3 start the same time as they have in the States. I couldn’t wait knowing it was already running over there. Wake up Foxtel, you’ll lose the audience dragging things on too long.
Cant BELIEVE Foxtel is only showing it in August, thats bull**** as usual we behind by at least two months. FOXTEL WAKE UP!!!!!!!!
So annoyed waiting this bloodly long to watch my most favorite show in the world. August is not coming fast enough, and agreed, FOXTEL I’m about to cancel my subscription, would be cheaper for me to mail and order a copy of the dvd. Sick of waiting and sick of seeing the repeats.

Given that season 3 hasn’t even started airing in Australia yet, I think it’s a little early for a DVD release date.
mmmm good point. It’s just annoying that people without foxtel have to wait even longer for it to come out on dvd.
I hope they air true blood on HD on GO! that be great.. Why does foxtell get all the good stuff like true blood. I guess i have to wait till it comes on DVD next year. Its a long wait for true blood season 3.

Waiting for true blood season 3 is a long time as i cant pay for foxtel.. But be nice if it come on HD on GO! But its good i have season 1 and season 2 and all the books i guess.. But i will just hope really hard they bring true blood season 3 on HD.

love the show… Stuff waiting until middle of next year for it to come out on DVD if it even dose or prob end of next year but Season 4 is coming out well airing in US around summer time next year so yet again another long wait for FOXTEL./AUSTAR views
Elizabeth, I think you’ve been duped. Episode 12 doesn’t even air in the US for another 2 weeks, so I find it hard to believe you have all 12 episodes of season 3 on DVD already.
