True Blood Fashion Q&A: Lorena & Pam’s Dresses, Sophie-Ann’s Suit

By  |  1 Comment

True Blood sure knows how to dress their cast, often resulting in “where can I get that?” emails to us after an episode airs. If we get enough inquiries about an item, we’ll do our best to get the details for you, usually straight from the source – True Blood costume designer Audrey Fisher. This week we answer emails about the some glam looks on the girls.

Deborah Ann Woll and Kristin Bauer on True Blood

Don't let Pam see you wearing a slap bracelet.

Q. I was wondering if you could help me with a query. I was on HBO’s True Blood website and I watched Jessica’s podcast with a guest appearance from Pam. Pam is wearing an amazing red dress. I was wondering if you knew where it’s from or who makes it? Much appreciation. – Lisa

A. That was a showstopper of a dress, wasn’t it? But then pretty much anything Pam wears is going to get a second (or fifth) look. Audrey reports that she bought it at Bebe several months ago, but it’s no longer in stock. It’s a Herve Leger knock off if that helps in tracking it down.

Mariana Klaveno as Lorena in True Blood

Lorena's black dress is a designer original.

Q. Lorena and Pam are two of the most well dressed lady vamps on the show! Where can I find Lorena’s black lace dress? It’s in one of the earlier episodes this season. – Amy

A. You’re probably not going to like this answer, Amy. Lorena’s black lace dress was designed by Audrey Fisher and built in house, so it’s a one of a kind item. Well, almost. Audrey says, “We had to make five of them for all that ripping!” Yes, this is the dress Lorena wore during that infamous, head-turning sex scene. Unfortunately, since this is an Audrey Fisher original, you won’t find that exact dress in stores anywhere.

However, there are some very similar dresses out there. This one from D&G has similar lines, or there’s this Valentino featuring a similarly demure neckline. Johnny Martin has a more budget friendly version, although it loses some of the sophistication found in Audrey’s original design.

Evan Rachel Wood as Queen Sophie-Anne on True Blood

The Queen is not amused, but she looks fab.

Q. Can you tell me where Sophie’s white (worn with the cascade of pearls) suit was purchased?  Any information you can give me will be very much appreciated. – Ari

A. The Queen looked amazing in that outfit, didn’t she? You’d never guess she was having a financial crisis. Audrey tells us that her fabulous winter white three-piece suit is by a NY designer named Deneisha La Toya. It’s not showing up as available on her website, though, so it may be something you have to look for on eBay or at a second hand shop.
