Star Wars on the Set of True Blood

No, Darth Vader has not invaded the True Blood set, but Marshall Allman and Janina Gavankar are having it our over that Funny or Die video showing Marshall’s shapeshifting techniques as he tries to show off in front of Janina. Apparently, Marshall was not happy that the clip was leaked and called Janina out on it. He tells Curt Wagner at Chicago Tribune’s Red Eye, “I think maybe Janina was intimidated by my shapeshifting skills, and was trying to, uh, I don’t know, she makes people do weird things,” he said of his co-star, who joins the cast this season as a shapeshifter named Luna. “I don’t want to stir up the hornet’s nest, if you know what I’m saying. And by hornet’s nest, I’m talking about Janina. Let’s just say—let’s just leave it at that. I’ve already said too much.”

Allman was found on the set filming his latest movie, “Jane Mansfield’s Car” when he found out about Janina’s tweet, and was apparently horrified. “Yeah, your laughter is my shame,” he told Curt.

Poor Marshall. Of course, all of this is in good fun; Marshall is not really mad at Janina at all. In fact according to him “I think she’s secretly in love with me. I don’t know. What can you do? I’m just out there trying to do the scene, trying to do my work.”

Marshall Allman is really creating a reputation as a kidder, but I would really be interested in Janina’s reply to all of this. In all seriousness though, Marshall goes on to talk a bit about “Jane Mansfield’s Car” in his chat with our friend Curt. He also gets into more about Tommy and how his life has changed sine taking on the role in True Blood. You can read the entire interview at the Red Eye.
