Tonight on True Blood: “The Cold Grey Light of Dawn”

By  |  3 Comments

After the darkness, comes the dawn. The day after the full moon, perhaps? With Antonia inhabiting Marnie’s body, does her power have no limits? There’s an angry Pam on the loose and she’s caught up with Tara. Will Tara survive? Will Naomi? Will Andy and Holly keep their date? These questions may be answered, and more created, in tonight’s episode, airing at 9/8 central, only on HBO and HBO GO.

Official Synopsis: With Marnie empowered by spirits of the dead, Bill issues an unpopular order to save vampires from the light. Eric embraces his amnesia; Luna discovers Sam’s not the man she thought he was; Lafayette expands his consciousness; Pam gets a body peel; Andy’s date with Holly doesn’t go as planned; Jessica has doubts about her future with Hoyt; Alcide and Debbie join a new pack.

Check in with us later as Billie Doux returns with her awesome recap of tonight’s episode. And we will be adding our own thoughts in our podcast which goes up here in a couple of days, but in the meantime you can watch last week’s podcast as we discuss the latest news, “Me & the Devil” and “I Wish I Was the Moon” , check out newly released photos from HBO, and enter to win the 2011 True Blood Comic Con swag bag.

This was my favorite episode this season. I hope that Jessica doesn’t die next week! Also, it looks like Tara has made a choice that will almost certainly seriously damage her friendship with Sookie, (Although, it should be said, Sookie has made a series of insensitive choices that Tara should have held against her. Now Sookie will likely hold a grudge against Tara who has basically
decided to pursue justice after her ordeal and even Lafayette’s. Exactly why should Tara be understanding of Sookies attractions to creatures that have only brought harm to Tara and her family?). I am not a big fan of Sookies, lol, and happen to like Tara just fine.
The whole Alcide/wolfpack storyline is only marginally less annoying than the inbred panther storyline. I hope both will be dropped soon.
I actually found myself enjoying Bill this episode. Normally he annoys me. Even more surprising, I wasn’t as annoyed by Sookie as I usually am. The self-loathing Peter Pan Eric has got to go ASAP! I truly hope he reunites with Pam and they kill the witches. Lafayette’s boyfriend included. Then i hope lafayette returns to being the sassy tramp.

I strangley fixated on Andy’s negative reaction to Holly. It seemed less of a drug thing, and more of vision of her nasty necromancy. Who’s blood has he been drinking?
