Friday Five: Shocking Moments in S5 So Far

By  |  4 Comments

This week’s Friday Five comes from long time True-Blood.net guest, Dee, who goes by Nothinbutjoy when she visits us. She is thinking about some of the disturbances in the force, I mean shocking/unexpected events that have happened so far this season. After only 4 episodes there’s already quite a list.

1) Everyone turning on Sookie. People of Bon Temps need to start taking responsibility for their own actions. Lafayette and Tara throwing so much anger at The Sook was too unfair.

2) Eric releasing Pam. A sad and defining moment for Pam. We’ll see where this takes her.

3) Eric having champion sex with his sister. Those crazy kids just couldn’t help themselves.

4) Sam’s shifter friends getting shot in the head. Who’s gunning for the shifters in Bon Temps? Martha?

5) Vampires killed Jason & Sookie’s parents. Real or red herring? We’ll find out!

Thanks Dee!

Over-night fan (almost literally) of the Sookie Stackhouse series since early 2008. Co-owner of True-Blood.net. Anxiously anticipating season 6.

I 100% agree with the #1, its not fair that this happening to Sookie. She is already the town’s outcast let a lone, now everyone wants to see her hang. What a load of c—-. #2 was very sad but I don’t think that Eric and Pam’s relationship is goanna change, he only did it to keep Pam out of harms way. #3 was not really shocked, Com’on Its Eric! #4, I was shocked with that one, but I don’t think its Martha, how would that make sense? Alcide (Werewolf) was the one that killed her son. And #5, Its all B.S, the fairies are lying. Cuz if it was really true, that would be a huge game changer. Sookie would have a vendetta with all vamps which means no Sookie and Eric getting back together.

Oh wait! For #4, Martha would make sense unless it had something to do with Luna and the grandkid?

    1. The people of Bon Temps are being themselves …they haven’t done anything but be themselves throughout the series. They don’t really care about what Sookie’s done, and they don’t care about Tara …they care about the fact that someone human is now a vampire. I think only a few care about the significance of someone’s humanity going away, while others care that there is another vampire in Bon Temps now.

    2. Lafayette throwing his anger over at Sookie was not unfair. He told her to call the police but she declined the suggestion and decided to hide Debbie’s body. So now Lala is an accessory to murder. Lala is right, the people around her die …she’s like the angel of death. Sookie is the catalyst, she has started the domino effect. But that doesn’t mean everything is her fault, it just means most things can be traced back to her.

    3. Tara is right in her anger at Sookie, she’s not wrong that people will fall all over themselves at Sookie to protect her. People say Sookie didn’t ask to be saved but a child doesn’t ask to be saved by their parents either …it’s an instinctual need to protect what’s closest to you. In episode 4 Tara’s anger is directed at Sookie b/c that’s what situation was focusing on. But she is upset with Lala too. And the amount of anger Tara has is most likely everything she kept to herself about Sookie. It’s something everyone does, when your deeply hurt, angry, and upset …all your bottled up feelings reflecting those emotions will come up too.
