We still have until May 2010 for the next full-length Sookie novel from Charlaine Harris, but in the meantime how about a collection of Sookie short stories? A Touch of Dead, an anthology of all of Charlaine’s short stories featuring Sookie, will be released on October 6 and you can win your very own copy from True-Blood.net!

The volume includes the following stories:

• “Fairy Dust” – originally published in Powers of Detection, this early short story has Sookie aiding a fairy.
• “One Word Answer” – originally published in Bite, this short story reveals more about Sookie’s cousin Hadley Hale.
• “Dracula Night” – originally published in Many Bloody Returns, Sookie is invited to a vampire birthday party at Fangtasia.
• “Lucky” – originally published in Unusual Suspects, this detective-style short story has Sookie and Amelia (a witch) investigating a break-in.
• “Gift Wrap” – originally published in Wolfsbane and Mistletoe, this Christmas story sees Sookie tending to a wounded werewolf.
