True Blood Fashion Q&A: We’re Baaaaaack!

By  |  4 Comments

Truebies, can someone tell me how it’s suddenly two months since our last True Blood fashion column? It’s been on my To Do list every. single. day. And yet, here we are already in the middle of October with piles of fashion still to discuss. Thank goodness Audrey Fisher keeps such good records, and is willing to answer belated questions, even while at a conference in Rio de Janeiro, otherwise it would be 2013 before this feature returned. We’re back to weekly columns until your season 5 questions are all answered, pinky swear!

QSookie wore the cutest dress in one of the last episodes, and I must have it. It’s black with a floral print, 3/4 sleeves, and a full skirt. She wears it with tights. If you could find it in plus sizes, that would be awesome! – Bethany

A. Wasn’t that outfit adorable? I loooove that look, especially as a way to transition a summer dress into autumn. Audrey picked it up from Betsey Johnson to hide Anna Paquin’s equally adorable but not at all Sookie-ish baby bump. The style, called the “Skater” dress, is no longer available in stores, so check eBay for that exact dress. For something similar, White House Black Market has a poppy print dress on clearance (Medium only online, but check your local store for other sizes) or try this sleeveless option from Kohl’s paired with a denim jacket or cardigan.

Q. On episode 5×06, “Hopeless,” Jessica was wearing a Slash from GNR shirt. Where can I find that shirt? – Christina

A. Ah yes, the perfect shirt to wear to a girlfight. Jessica’s shirt is the “T-Rex” muscle tee from Chaser LA, currently sold out online. I did find one (and I mean ONE) men’s version available on eBay. Act fast!

Q. Looks like more guys are interested in True Blood fashion! Anyway, do you know who makes the leather jacket worn by Eric in the season 5 finale? – Benjamin

A. It’s pretty cool to see the guys requesting information on wardrobe pieces; after all, if it looks hot on TV, you might as well replicate the look in real life! Eric’s season finale leather jacket is also by All Saints, although I think it’s actually a shirt – the Section Leather Shirt – with the collar removed.
