Friday Five: Greatest Post-Mortems from S3

HBO, in their ever creative ways to entertain Truebies, came up with the most original idea of “post-mortems” following each episode of True Blood, this past season. From news interviews to tributes, each one has a special message for friends of the fang. Here are my top five picks:

  1. Bill & Lorena’s Undying Love: a tribute to the troubled couple includes showing how really twisted they were together.
  2. Steve Newlin – Praise His Light: We knew we didn’t see the last of Rev. Newlin last season. He was regrouping and making this appearance to keep the fires burning for FOTS.
  3. Vampire Rights Amendment: American Vampire League’s Nan Flanagan debates vampire rights with Congressman David Finch on “Sunday Morning with McCafferty”. She had me convinced!
  4. Vampire Hierarchy: otherwise known as “Deep Throat”, answered our questions about the hierarchy and the politics of the vampire universe.
  5. Meet Alcide: By far my most favorite. Simply titled “Alcide’s Introduction”, we finally meet the were we’ve been waiting for and talking about since season one. Played by the fabulous (and tall), Joe Manganiello, Alcide made his debut in the third episode of this season. We didn’t get to see as much of him as I would have liked, but since Joe was promoted to series regular, that will change.

So, does your list match mine? What were your favorite p-m’s?

Over-night fan (almost literally) of the Sookie Stackhouse series since early 2008. Co-owner of True-Blood.net. Anxiously anticipating season 6.
