True Blood News Roundup: Comic Con, James Frain, Throwdowns and More

Today’s news roundup is a huge one! Since we’ve been enjoying ourselves at Comic Con for the past 6 days, we got a teeny bit behind. So here goes!

The cast of True Blood were at the WB booth to sign posters for fans and pose for photos. This is always a good time for them to chat with fans, if even for a moment, above the noise of the crowd.

Audrey from Fearnet.com gets all fangirlie with James Frain at Comic Con. We don’t blame you, Audrey! We got a bit weak in the knees when we met him too. In this video from Fearnet, Audrey has some helpful suggestions for Franklin Mott, regarding Tara.

The Battle of the Fang: A Looziana Grudge Match is still going on between Alex Skarsgard and Stephen Moyer. In support of their respective charities, GulfAid.org for Stephen and SOS Children’s Villages for Alex, each have agreed that the loser of the throwdown will wear a t-shirt that labels Mrs. Skarsgard (Moyer) or Moyer’s Muffin (Skarsgard), designed by the winning actor. Photos will be taken of the losing actor wearing the shirt. The contest runs throughout the third season of True Blood and details can be found at True Blood’s Nest and AlexSkarsgard.net.

We Tweeted this during the True Blood panel at Comic Con, but Joe Manganiello confirmed that he has been promoted to series regular. Congratulations, Joe!

PopSugarRush had some chat time with Marshall Allman (Tommy Mickens) and he talks about snuggle time with a certain vamp in season three. This will be SPOILERY, so if you don’t want to know, don’t play the video.

PopSugarRush also spoke with other cast members about what’s next for the rest of season three. SPOILERS!

Don’t forget to check out Herz’s REVIEWniverse recap of Sunday night’s I Got a Right to Sing the Blues. Clearly it was their favorite episode to date and I think we can all agree.

CFM Music Scene posted photos and their Comic Con experience today. Thanks, Suzanne!

Finally, are you looking for some new, True Blood, Twitter skins? Take a look at the ones created by FreeMovie-TVWallpaper.com. I’ve got mine already picked out, how about you?
