True Blood Nominated for GLAAD, Golden Reel Awards

This week True Blood snagged two more nominations for diversity and sound:

First up, True Blood was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series in the 20th annual GLAAD Media Awards, honoring media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and the issues that affect their lives. The awards will be presented in Los Angeles on April 18.

True Blood also received a Golden Reel nomination from the Motion Picture Sound Editors for Best Sound Editing: Short Form Dialogue and ADR in Television for the episode “Fourth Man in the Fire”.

We should also mention that Generation Kill, starring Alexander Skarsgard, received a nomination for Best Sound Editing: Long Form Dialogue and ADR in Television and Best Sound Editing: Long Form Sound Effects and Foley in Television.

The Golden Reel awards will be presented in Los Angeles on February 21, 2009.
