True Blood Fashion Q&A: Sookie’s Ring, Tommy’s Necklace, Jason’s Watch

True Blood sure knows how to dress their cast, often resulting in “where can I get that?” emails to us after an episode airs. If we get enough inquiries about an item, we’ll do our best to get the details for you, usually straight from the source – True Blood costume designer Audrey Fisher. This week we answer emails about jewelry & accessories.

Q. Is Sookie’s engagement ring her real ring or one chosen for the series?  Is the silver chain with lock-style charms on it that Pam is wearing in the “Tiffany’s” scene with the Magister a Brighton?  It sure looks like it.  I had another fashion question but i must have been “glamoured” one time too many as I can’t recall it now…  but I too love Pam’s famous pumps! – Wendy

A. Wendy, stay away from those vampires or you’ll turn into another Ginger – glamoured so many times you can’t remember your own last name! We do have answers for the questions you could remember. Sookie’s ring is a prop, which is probably safer considering the amount of blood she gets on her hands. Pam’s “Tiffany” necklace is “a very cheap knockoff from downtown”.

Jason's watch on True Blood

What kind of watch is Jason wearing?

Q. What is the symbol on Tommy’s necklace that he usually wears and where can I find the aforementioned necklace? – Bea

A. It’s a St. Christopher medal that Audrey thinks she picked up at Sears or JC Penney. Glam! St. Christopher is generally known as the patron saint of travelers and wearing his image or placing it in a vehicle is supposed to provide protection during long journeys. Does this mean Tommy has undertaken a long journey?

Q. I am trying to find out what kind of watch that Jason Stackhouse wears on True Blood. – Karen

A. Audrey reports that it’s a prop, meaning she didn’t actually purchase it. However, she said that the PR folks at HBO were also asking her about the watch, so chances are we’ll see it for sale in the HBO Shop at some point.

Next week we’ll answer questions about some lacy lingerie and more girlie stuff. If you have a True Blood fashion query, drop us a line and we’ll do our best to answer.
