True Blood Soundtrack Nominated for Grammy

The True Blood season 2 soundtrack has been nominated for a Grammy award, as announced today. Competing in the Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media category, True Blood is up against soundtracks from fellow HBO series Treme, the films Crazy Heart and Twilight, and Fox phenomenon Glee.

As much as I love the music on True Blood, I don’t think it can overcome the juggernaut that is Glee. It stands a better chance in the second category it’s nominated for: Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media. “Kiss Like Your Kiss” is nominated in this category.

The Grammy Awards air February 13 at 8/7c on CBS.
