Alexander Skarsgard Lands New Movie Role

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard has signed on for the movie What Maisie Knew, based on the Henry James novel of the same name. Updated to contemporary New York, the film is a dramedy centering on Maisie, a six-year-old girl enmeshed in the bitter divorce of her mother, a rock and roll icon, and her father, a charming but distracted art dealer. Julianne Moore stars as Maisie’s mother and Steve Coogan as her father with Skarsgard playing Moore’s character’s new husband.

Filming begins in New York in August, a few weeks after True Blood wraps production on season 4.
