Taylor Swift’s “Haunted” Featured on True Blood

Singer/songwriter Taylor Swift must be a True Blood fan. Brian Buckner wrote this week’s episode, “Let’s Get Out of Here”, and chose Swift’s “Haunted” for a specific scene, but when music director Gary Calamar first approached her reps for clearance, they refused. According to Rolling Stone, Swift found out the show wanted to use her song and told her people to make it happen.

According to Calamar, the song is featured during  “a racy, sexy scene” but wouldn’t say which characters are involved, instead turning the tables on reporters and asking who they thought would listen to Swift.  They suggested Jessica & Jason; Calamar didn’t deny it. So either we’re in for some more J/J sex dreams or Jason’s “bros before hos” motto gets thrown out the window.

Calamar also teased the True Blood season 4 finale, titled  “And When I Die.”

“That might be a hint that one of our characters is in trouble,” Calamar says. “Vampires don’t really die, so I’ll say it’s not a vampire. They won’t face the true death. But some of our main characters do run into a little bad luck in the final episode.”
